1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, logging in, downloading, or using the Kārvān Social mobile application or related website services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must not use or access our Services.
2. Eligibility & Age Limit
You must be at least 18 years of age to register an account and use our Services. By registering, you warrant that you are 18 or older and have the capacity to form a binding contract under applicable laws. We reserve the right to suspend any account suspected of belonging to a minor.
3. Account Registration & Safety
To use most features of the App, you must register for an account using a valid phone number and social login. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete details during signup.
- Keep your login credentials secure and confidential.
- Promptly notify us at support@karvaan.social of any unauthorized access to your account.
You are solely responsible for all activities occurring under your account.
4. User Conduct & Content Rules
Kārvān Social is a community built on respect and mutual safety. You agree that you will NOT upload, transmit, or post any content that:
- Is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory.
- Infringes on copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, or other intellectual property of others.
- Contains sexually explicit material, graphic violence, or nudity.
- Promotes commercial spamming, marketing, or phishing schemes.
- Impersonates any person or entity, or misrepresents your association with any person/entity.
We do not pre-screen all user content, but we reserve the right to remove any content or suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.
5. GPS Verification & Check-Ins
Our app incorporates GPS-verified check-ins to certify visits to destinations and log milestones in your Travel Passport. You agree not to manipulate, bypass, or spoof your device's GPS coordinates using virtual mock location apps or software. Exploiting, faking, or manipulating GPS-verified check-ins constitutes a material violation of these Terms and will lead to immediate account termination.
6. Content Ownership & License
Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to the photos, posts, messages, and diaries you upload to the platform. However, by publishing content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to host, copy, display, distribute, and format your content for the sole purpose of delivering the Services.
Platform Content: The design, logo, user interface, software, databases, assets, and branding of Kārvān Social are our exclusive property and are protected by international trademark and copyright laws. You may not copy or reuse our branding or code without our prior written consent.
7. Account Termination
We reserve the right, without warning and in our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate your account and block access to our Services for reasons including, but not limited to:
- Breaches or violations of these Terms.
- Engaging in fraudulent or illegal activities (including GPS coordinate spoofing).
- Unexpected technical issues or security problems.
- Harassment, spam, or toxic behavior reported by multiple community members.
You can also terminate these Terms at any time by deleting your account inside the App (Settings > Account > Delete Account).
8. Limitation of Liability
Kārvān Social is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your travel activities, interactions with other users met through the App, location tracking inaccuracies, or account suspension.
9. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
